Georgia Legislature passes “banking bill”

Georgia’s House and Senate have approved a bill aimed at assisting real estate developers and other “high borrowing” entities. The bill will make it easier for state-chartered banks to renew large loans that are performing. Governor Perdue signed the bill about an hour after its approval by the Senate.
