USER CONTRACT
OVERVIEW OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. By submitting your claim you are
representing the following:
That the information you have provided is true and accurate and not given
for the purpose of harassment. That you are not engaging
Stokes Lazarus & Carmichael
LLP ("SLC") to give you legal advice.
THAT REGISTERING A COMPLAINT ON THIS WEBSITE IN NO WAY IMPLIES AN
ATTORNEY/CLIENT RELATIONSHIP OR ATTORNEY/CLIENT PRIVILEGE.
That SLC does not guaranty any satisfaction or compensation for your
complaint or that SLC will represent you.
That SLC does not offer any opinion concerning the merits of any claim
you might have and encourages you to also contact other counsel if you
intend to pursue any claims, which you should do immediately to avoid
having your case barred by a statute of limitations (time imposed by law
after which a cause of action filed with a court may be subject to
dismissal).
IF THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS ARE NOT FULLY ACCEPTABLE TO YOU,
PLEASE TERMINATE YOUR USE OF THIS SITE.
PURPOSE. Generally, there is no charge to you for the initial review of
your legal matter, but the terms of handling your case must be established
between you and SLC.
NO LEGAL ADVICE. SLC does not provide, and does not
seek to provide, legal advice, mediation or counseling under
any circumstances until a formal attorney/client relationship
is established in writing.
NO ATTORNEY/CLIENT RELATIONSHIP CREATED. A submission of your legal matter, is to assist you in
selecting your attorney. No attorney/client relationship
is created by your use of our site.
STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS. Legal claims have a time
limitation for filing in a court of law. This time barrier is
called the statute of limitation. The time varies based on
the location of the lawsuit and the type of claim. Accordingly,
you should seek advice from a qualified attorney to determine
applicable time limitation. DO NOT rely on SLC to prevent
your claim from being time barred.
YOU MAY NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. SLC may review
your legal matter, but not respond. Also, SLC may choose to
refer or not refer the matter to one of our attorneys. If SLC
chooses to refer your legal matter to an attorney, that attorney
is under no obligation to respond to you and may choose to
not do so. Again, you should seek your own legal counsel and
not rely on SLC to provide or obtain legal representation for you.
If you have a legal matter, it is up to you to seek advice from a
qualified attorney. DO NOT rely upon the submission of your
inquiry to SLC as a substitute for legal advice. If an attorney does
contact you, it is your obligation to inquire and confirm to your
satisfaction that the attorney is familiar with your type of case
and his/her win/loss record.
CONFIDENTIALITY. Any information you send to SLC in an email message
is not confidential or privileged. Information submitted is not
confidential until an attorney/client relationship is formed. It is
suggested that you withhold names of parties until consulting with an
attorney with whom you intend to contract. If you are concerned about
confidentiality, do not submit your claim.
MATTERS YOU SHOULD NOT DISCLOSE. During your initial submission of your
legal matter to SLC, do not disclose the names of any persons or
companies involved in the matter since a conflict of interest may exist.
HIRING AN ATTORNEY IS YOUR OWN CHOICE. You are free to hire an attorney
of your choice. Whether or not you choose to hire a SLC attorney
is entirely your decision. If an attorney does contact you, it is
your obligation to inquire and confirm to your satisfaction that the
attorney is familiar with your type of case and his/her win/loss record.

Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws

hereunder shall be exclusively subject to the jurisdiction of the state

additional notices, terms or conditions contained elsewhere on SLC.
